Common questions
- Do students need an account?
- No. Students never sign in, never give an email, and never type their real name. They open the join page, enter the room code you show on the board, and pick the nickname they are given.
- What devices does it work on?
- Any device with a web browser — school tablets, Chromebooks or laptops. There is nothing to install, and a drawing keeps saving through a brief wifi drop.
- Is Dinso safe for children?
- Yes. The student screen collects no personal information and loads no third-party code at all: no analytics, no ads, no outside fonts. All student work belongs to the teacher's account.
- Which languages does Dinso work in?
- English, Thai, French, German, Hungarian, Dutch, Traditional Chinese and Bengali. Every screen and every activity's instructions are translated, and each student's tablet can use its own language.
- Which subjects are covered?
- The starter activities span science, maths, Thai, English and social studies, for ages six to eleven. Teachers can duplicate any activity and edit it.
- What does it cost?
- Dinso is free to use while it is in early access. You only need an email address to start — there is no card and no install.
- The sign-in email hasn't arrived. What should I do?
- Check your spam folder first — the email comes from hello@dinso.fyi. The link works for 24 hours and on any device, so you can ask for it on a laptop and open it on your phone. If nothing arrives after a few minutes, ask for another one.
